Maple Marble does not just sell cabinets; we help design Forever spaces! We pride ourselves in building a relationship with our clients, getting to know how they use their space as well as their wants and needs for their space. We then combine that with our expertise to ensure they also receive a functional space. Our showroom features 2 US based custom and semi-custom cabinet manufacturers, 1 weatherproof cabinet manufacturer, countertop, sinks, tile, flooring, hardware and undercabinet lighting.
Reception and Administrative Support
Seeking a reliable, punctual, organized, self-starter who enjoys working with people, greeting customers. Small details rather than bigger picture, building relationships, desire to grow into a designer role.
Essential Functions:
Build and maintain relationships with our clients by responding to telephone, email, walk-in, and website inquires in a personalized and friendly manner.
Excel in a professional environment geared towards high quality and luxury kitchens.
Interact and effectively communicate with homeowners, contractors, and specialty tradespersons, supporting problem solving and meeting the needs of the customer.
Maintain excellent verbal communication to manage a multi-line phone system with friendly customer service.
Maintain excellent writing skills to prepare estimates, invoices, and electronic correspondence, utilizing the appropriate software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and/or Word.
Accept payments from customers, make collection calls, send invoices, and use discretion when connecting to direct supervisor if there are questions.
Maintain organized and tidy office by scanning, filing, processing documents, and keeping both physical and digital documents, as required.
Schedule appointments and maintain between 2 and 6 team members’ calendars and prepare for appointments by compiling files, color samples, and other needed materials.
Keep the showroom clean and organized by putting samples away, basic sweeping, and clean up.
Monitor office supplies and inform Office Manager of ordering needs.
Maintain interest in a career pathway within kitchen design and sales, with room for growth and more responsibilities as time progresses.
Provide excellent attention to detail.
Perform in fast-paced, sometimes high-stress situations.
Act in all matters concerning Maple Marble with honesty and integrity.
Facilitate client intakes and design reviews.
Learn and utilize design software and other web applications and software as needed.
Assist clients with countertop, tile, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and hardware selections.
Generate and post social media content.
Assist designers with obtaining pricing, processing closed files, ordering materials and products for projects, sending thank you cards.
Assist with setup and facilitation of tradeshows and other events.
Drive personal and/or company vehicles to warehouse, vendors, and jobsites as needed.
Other tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Valid driver's license and personal transportation
1-year prior receptionist or administrative experience required
Intermediate level experience with desktop computers and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
Solid attendance record, with the exception of taking protected leave
Ability to work some Saturdays, evenings or weekends for occasional tradeshows or networking events as determined by Maple Marble Leadership.
Clean driving record with proof of current auto insurance.
Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with QuickBooks a plus but not required.
Sales and/or customer service experience a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Perform medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Able to provide excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including under workstations and able to reach low showroom cabinets/drawers.
Work Environment:
Primarily an office and retail setting with an offsite storage facility. May be exposed to basic cleaners, scented candles. Occasional tradeshow and networking events that may require standing for more than 8 hours a day. Tradeshows and networking events may expose employee to loud noises, bright lights, and crowds. Will require some lifting off up to 50lbs.
