Cleaner, Housekeeping

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, guests, and employees. The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of clubhouse facilities and other assigned areas while maintaining the high standards of appearance and service expected at a private golf and country club.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, works well independently and as part of a team, and understands the importance of providing excellent service in a member-focused environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain clubhouse common areas, offices, hallways, entrances, dining areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and maintain floors.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, baseboards, doors, windows, glass, mirrors, and other surfaces.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, showers, sinks, toilets, and related areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste.
• Restock restroom supplies, paper products, soaps, towels, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Clean and polish glass, stainless steel, wood, and other finished surfaces.
• Respond promptly to spills, debris, and other cleaning needs throughout the facility.
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, supplies, and storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Club procedures.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, leaks, or other facility issues to management.
• Assist with cleaning before and after Club events, meetings, tournaments, and other functions as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor when interacting with members, guests, coworkers, and vendors.
• Respect member privacy and maintain appropriate discretion while working throughout the Club.
• Follow all Club safety, sanitation, security, and operating procedures.
• Perform other housekeeping and facility-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, hotel, resort, or country club experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning procedures and schedules.
• Ability to safely operate standard housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor equipment, mops, and cleaning carts.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and proper chemical use is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, members, and guests.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, early mornings, or evenings depending on Club needs.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. The employee must be able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment weighing approximately 25–40 pounds.

Work Environment

This position works throughout an active golf and country club environment and may occasionally involve both indoor and outdoor work. The Housekeeper will regularly interact with Club members, guests, employees, and vendors and is expected to maintain a professional and service-oriented demeanor at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
