What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eurasia Lab Assistant position at Maple Leaf Farms?
Essential Duties
- Prepare, label, organize, and maintain samples for product testing and laboratory analysis.
- Assist with routine laboratory testing and established testing protocols under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor and senior laboratory staff.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including spectrometers, balances, and other equipment associated with routine testing activities.
- Accurately record testing activities, experimental results, and other laboratory information in logbooks and electronic systems.
- Perform routine equipment calibration, verification, and quality checks in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, samples, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Follow established laboratory procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and testing protocols.
- Identify and communicate unusual test results, equipment concerns, sample issues, or other conditions requiring additional review.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels of laboratory supplies and testing materials.
- Support laboratory staff with testing activities, projects, and other operational needs as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records and documentation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
