Dish Aide

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Prep Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities:

- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and slicing ingredients

- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines

- Assist in menu planning and recipe development

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service

- Assist with catering events as needed

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in the food industry is preferred

- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and knife skills

- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development is a plus

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Requirements:

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
