Role Description This full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role is based at MAPEI’s facility in Dalton, GA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting machinery, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, executing repairs, and performing preventive maintenance according to schedules and standard operating procedures. The role also involves collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime, documenting maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Technician will adhere to safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance and industrial maintenance skills, with experience in manufacturing or plant environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices and maintenance & repair of machinery and facility systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to industrial operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance-related equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including possible overtime or weekend hours as needed.
