Technology Specialist

Map Academy is actively seeking a Technology Specialist to join our incredible team. This full-time position focuses on keeping the technology our students and staff depend on working and available, including the student Chromebook fleet, staff laptops, classroom displays, and printing, and on resolving the everyday issues that matter a great deal to the people who encounter them. Ideal candidate has hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing devices and enjoys being the person who gets things working again. School-based experience is ideal, but candidates with relevant experience in similar settings are encouraged to apply. First and foremost, we’re looking for someone with strong communication and organizational skills, the patience to help colleagues with a wide range of comfort with technology, and the ability to build relationships, work independently, and as part of a collaborative team. Until now, this work has been carried by our co-directors and other senior leaders, in addition to their own roles. We are hiring for it because it matters too much to keep fitting into the margins of someone else’s day. Our first priority is the day-to-day support described above, and that is what this role is.
