Position Summary
The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving food to people in our facilities. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. They will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises. A Dietary Aide must be capable of preparing food following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. They must be competent and conscious with a customer-orientated approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning.
Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
Setting up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
Preparing meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
Delivering dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a post-acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team member is expected to adhere to facility’s no-smoking policy.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending kneelling, and stopping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24-hours a day. 365 days a year. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required.

HIPPA:
Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information. Team members are permitted to use and/or disclose only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. Reports all suspected violation of company’s HIPAA policies or procedures to facility CEO.
Requited Education/Experience:
Experience in customer service.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines and skilled in preparing meals according to instructions would be appreciated.
High School diploma or GED.
