Manzanita Public Charter School is expanding its middle school to include 8th graders beginning the 2026-27 school year. If you are interested in joining the Manzanita Charter’s middle school program of 225 scholars, we welcome your application and CV. MPCS also breaks ground on its 50- million-dollar facilities project during summer of 2026. While this 3-year project is completed, Grades 7 and 8 will be housed at the Lompoc Allan Hancock campus. If you are interested in teaching middle schoolers on a college campus, this role might be the one you’ve been waiting for! Position: (WILL CONSIDER PART-TIME APPLICANTS) Algebra 1 Integrated Math 8 Geometry/Stats Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $59,684 - $115,887 per year (competitive with local districts and other charter schools) Responsibilities: • Teach Grade 8 Math Core plus an additional elective class. • Create and implement engaging lesson plans • Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees • Enforce school rules and procedures consistently Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in education or related field (Master's degree preferred) • California Single Subject Math • Strong communication and classroom management skills • Familiarity with current educational best practices • Ability and desire to embrace program/curriculum changes as data performance indicates
