What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billingual Toddler Teacher position at Manzanita Preschool?
We are seeking a loving, patient, and experienced Bilingual Infant/ Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and understands the importance of responsive caregiving in a child's earliest years.
Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive, individualized care to children ages 12 months- 36 months
- Support children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development through play and nurturing interactions
- Follow classroom schedule, be familiar with the routine and transitions
- Plan and execute a weekly lesson plan based on the Curriculum
- Observe and document developmental milestones with the ASQ tool.
- Document daily activities on the parent/ teacher app.
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide daily updates
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Disinfect and sanitize the classroom and toys with the help of the assistant teacher
- Collaborate with co-teachers and administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety regulations
- Be familiar with Paths to Quality, CACFP, Indiana Learning Standards and Indiana State regulations
- Must be flexible and rotate opening and closing shifts with the co teacher
Qualifications:
- Must have a nurturing, patient, and reliable personality
- High school diploma; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Bilingual- MUST speak Spanish and English
- Prior experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting
- Knowledge of children's development and best practices in care and learning
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in floor-level play
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Once hired, must complete 40 hours of Indiana Learning Paths training (Safe Sleep, Child Abuse and Neglect prevention, Indiana Learning Standards, Universal Precautions, and more. )
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
