What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wine Tasting Associate position at Manzanita NW Wine Bar?
NW Portland wine bar and winery tasting room is looking for experienced servers, wine hosts and sommeliers. We are a tasting room for The Winery at Manzanita.
The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service and have winery tasting room experience.
Shifts are 2:15-7:15 on Thursdays/Sundays and 2:15-8:15 pm on Fridays/Saturdays. We have 2-3 days (Thurs-Sun) available. We are currently open 5 days a week and will open Tuesday/Wednesday in the Spring. Please only apply if you are available to work those days (doesn't have to be all of them) and are available to work immediately.
Compensation depends on experience (DOE), plus tips, employee discount, commission on wine club sign-ups and monthly wine allotment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED (required); college degree (preferred)
- Food preparation (for example, cheese and salami plates) (required)
- Wine knowledge and experience (1 year experience and Somm Level I minimum preferred)
- Sales experience, upselling and closing the sale; POS experience required, preferably Square
- Winery tasting room experience
- Oregon Food Handler's Card and OLCC Server's Permit (required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
