Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products to meet customer needs and increase sales revenue
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure proper merchandising standards
- Stock shelves, organize inventory, and manage restocking procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Handle cashier duties including processing payments accurately and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management using retail math skills for stock counts and reorder levels
- Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone
- Support supervising staff when needed, including training new team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions and inventory management
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Supervising experience is beneficial but not required
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining attention to detail
