We are seeking a Global Operations and Resilience Architect to help shape and scale resilient, high-performing technology systems across our global environment. In this role, you will work at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and operations—ensuring our platforms are reliable, scalable, and aligned to real business outcomes. You will guide modernization efforts, influence engineering practices, and help embed resilience into how we design, build, and operate technology. Position Responsibilities: Lead resilience architecture across enterprise applications and platforms, ensuring systems are scalable, observable, and reliable. Partner with engineering, platform, and operations teams to integrate resilience and reliability into delivery and operational workflows. Guide modernization initiatives, embedding automation, resilience, and operational controls into future-state architectures. Define and evolve architecture standards and patterns, promoting consistency while enabling flexibility across teams. Translate regulatory and risk requirements (e.g., OSFI E‑21) into practical and actionable architecture guidance. Leverage operational insights and metrics (e.g., incidents, performance trends) to improve system reliability and resilience outcomes Establish measurable KPIs and dashboards to connect architecture decisions with business impact, including risk reduction and service performance Enable enterprise alignment and reuse, driving scalable, consistent solutions across business segments Required qualifications: Experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with a focus on resilience, reliability, or platform engineering Strong understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern application architectures Experience working in complex or regulated environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or similar industries) Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and influence senior stakeholders Experience partnering with engineering and operations teams to improve system performance and reliability Familiarity with observability, reliability engineering principles, and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, scalability, availability) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with resilience frameworks or regulatory standards (e.g., OSFI, operational risk frameworks) Background in large-scale modernization or transformation initiatives Exposure to DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering practices Strong knowledge of architectural principles, design patterns, and SDLC best practices Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills When you join our team: We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. Referenced Salary Location Toronto, Ontario Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
