Duties
- Prepare surfaces for coating.
- Operate powder coating equipment and spray guns to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
- Interpret production documents such as work orders, process sheets, and quality standards to ensure accurate application of coatings.
- Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and adhere strictly to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements, including respirators and respiratory protection.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine mechanical checks, cleaning spray guns, and troubleshooting issues related to coating application or machinery.
- Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to ensure coating consistency and adherence to color specifications.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of production, including the use of power tools and machining equipment for surface preparation or finishing tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience with powder coating processes, industrial painting, or auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and coating spray systems effectively.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing documents accurately and follow detailed instructions for production finishing tasks.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to PPE use, respirator fitting, and respiratory protection practices in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with materials handling procedures and quality standards in production environments to ensure consistent product quality.
