Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES), LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support day-to-day HR and administrative operations. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Pike & Rose office in North Bethesda, MD. During the training period, employees are expected to work three (3) days per week in the office. Upon successful completion of training, the schedule transitions to two (2) days in-office and three (3) days remote.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding and new hire administration, including I-9 and E-Verify processing
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation
- Assist with benefits administration and employee enrollments
- Respond to employee HR-related questions and provide administrative support
- Review employee timecards for proper coding
- Assist with leave and PTO tracking
- Support HR processes within ADP Workforce Now and other company systems
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and monitor shared HR inboxes and voicemails
- Maintain HR records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Assist with employee communications and policy acknowledgements
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including employee recognition programs, employee of the month activities, and year-end holiday gifts
- Order and maintain office and employee-related supplies as needed
- Provide general administrative support to the CFO, HR and Operations teams
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of HR or administrative experience required
- Associate degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus
