This position is located in the Environmental, Safety, Healthy, and Energy Division at the United States Mint in Denver. As an Environmental Protection Specialist, you will ensure the Denver Mint complies with current laws, regulations and ordinances regarding chemical products that are considered hazardous and serve as an advisor to management on environmental and hazardous chemical product issues.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Specialized Experience for the GS-12, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Preparing written reports giving recommendations for solving environmental issues or problems; AND
- Monitoring compliance or training on the preparation of environmental compliance reviews; AND
- Preparing environmental assessments or impact statements.
