Location: Hudson New York (Must reside within the territory)
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in the field / 1 day remote)
The Opportunity
As the Territory Manager for Hudson Valley NY, you will be the face of MRS in a prime growth region. You won't just be taking orders—you’ll be building up an existing territory through consultative selling, strategic account management, and genuine customer partnerships. What You’ll Do:
- Drive Growth: Sell MRS’s full line of premium, specialty building products (including industry-leading brands in decking, railing, siding, weatherization, and millwork) to new and existing dealer accounts.
- Own the Field: Maintain a consistent, high-energy presence in the market (4 days on the road, 1 day remote).
- Educate & Engage: Conduct high-impact product training, PK (Product Knowledge) sessions, attend trade shows, and support customer-facing events.
- Consultative Selling: Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities using a value-added, relationship-first approach—leveraging cross-selling and strategic promotions to maximize dealer success.
- Pipeline Management: Utilize CRM tools to track your sales performance and manage your pipeline.
- Embody the Culture: Ensure all field activities and customer interactions perfectly align with MRS’s long-standing mission, vision, and core family values.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 5 years of successful outside sales experience, with a heavy preference for those with established roots in the building materials or construction industry.
- Local Knowledge: Must currently reside within the Hudson Valley, NY territory and possess deep knowledge of the local dealer market.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, sharp negotiation skills, and greatr organization habits. Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Logistics: A clean driving record and valid driver’s license are required. Occasional overnight travel should be expected. Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying weather conditions.
