Here at mdi (Manufacturers Distributor, Inc.) in Odessa, FL we are looking to hire an Accounting Manager to our growing team! The position would be reporting to senior-level management.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited too;
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes
- Implement and maintain office management systems to streamline workflows
- Accounts Payables/Receivables: Process invoice, payments and reimbursements ensuring timely collection and payment of outstanding accounts
- Payroll Support: Payroll processing, including timesheet verification, benefit deductions and reporting
- Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare, monitor and update budgets; provide monthly financial reports to mdi leadership
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with mdi policies and procedures
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy
- Audit Support: Prepare financial records and documentation needed for internal and external audits
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial and confidentiality polices; maintain records in compliance with relevant regulations

Required Qualifications:
- 3 years working in an Office Environment
- 3 years working in Accounting and Financial Management
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related fields
- Knowledge of purchasing, costing and inventory sourcing
- Excellent software skills including ability to type over 35 WPM
- Knowledge of a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of financial software such as QuickBooks Enterprise and Avalara is a plus
- Ability to work on site in Odessa, FL required
