Service Helper

The Service Helper is responsible for supporting the Service Lead in their task of completing assigned jobs as related to working on water wells and water well pumping systems on time and to company quality standards.

Requirements:

• Education - A High School Degree or GED not required but preferred
• Licensing -Valid Drivers License and Medical Examiners Certificate
• Class A endorsement (preferred)
• Skills - Must have the ability to operate various heavy equipment, this includes, but is not limited to: backhoes, forklifts, grout trucks, hand cement mixer and service trucks. Various small tools such as pipe wrenches, screwdrivers and voltage meters will be used on the job
• Physical - This person must have a full range of bodily motion and be capable of as much standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching and or grasping as may be required. He/She must have communication skills capable of successful conversations with peers, superiors, subordinates and customers. The individual must have vision capable of discerning colors successfully in the red, green, blue, white, yellow and tan and shades thereof. Must be able to operate a vehicle unassisted, as driving to and from a business is a daily requirement. He/She must be able to life heavy objects up to a maximum of 100 pounds. Must be able to respond and to hear and interpret successfully normal communication on the phone. This individual must be in good overall health as attendance is critical.
• Mental - Able to perform multiple tasks at each job including but not limited to plumbing and electrical
• Language - Must possess the ability to fluently converse in the English Language, both written and verbally. Must be able to communicate with customers at each job
• Mechanical - Must possess good motor skills including hand-eye coordination and be able to use a computer.
• Spatial - Must have all mental faculties and be able to work in confined areas.
• Working Conditions
• - The helper will be in the field majority of the time. This includes all kinds of weather conditions.

Authority - The Service Helper will have the authority to make suggestions to the lead regarding execution of the job they are assigned to. Further, the Service Helper will be responsible for ensuring that government and safety standards are enforced.

Responsibilities - The Service Helper and the Service Lead will be held responsible for completing jobs in accordance with company dictated time and quality guidelines. Further, He/She will be held responsible for meeting all Federal, State, Local Governmental and Corporate Safety standards for all employees on his/her job site.

Duties and Tasks -

• Daily inspections of equipment and vehicles
• Run jobs as assigned
• Take care of assigned equipment
• Weekend on-call duties and overtime when needed and as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all governmental and corporate safety regulations for all personnel on the jobs they are assigned
• Accurate and timely submittal of all paperwork, works orders, etc
• Track mileage and fuel usage as required
• Conforms with and ensures conformance with all governmental laws, regulations and ordinances as may affect the company, its operations, employees, vendors and financial institutions
• Communicate and co-operate with all other managers and their personnel in a team-like manner toward smooth, timely, coordinated execution of the responsibilities and duties
• Ensure all assigned jobs are completed on time and in accordance with corporate quality standards

• Performs any other duties as may be assigned
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
