Mantra Computing, an IT support and consulting firm located in Needham MA, is looking for a Technology Consultant with 2 plus years of IT consulting experience. The candidate will be a hands on, people oriented person, responsible for working with business officers and owners, listening to their diverse business challenges and providing sound technical advice, support, and solutions. Candidate must possess good project management skills, people management skills and feel comfortable providing client-side support to non‐technical users.
This role will be a hybrid work environment; work will be performed onsite at client locations, remotely from our office in Needham, and remotely from home.
Looking for full-time candidates, preferably in the Metro-West or Worcester area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for client environments, including desktops, servers, networks, and cloud systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently and professionally.
- Perform system upgrades, deployments, and migrations (PCs, servers, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls, endpoint protection, and patching practices.
- Monitor and maintain systems to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
- Document all work, configurations, and processes in PSA and ticketing systems.
- Provide client-facing communication, including issue updates, recommendations, and technical guidance.
- Assist in project work such as onboarding new clients, infrastructure upgrades, and standardization initiatives.
- Collaborate with service desk to escalate and resolve complex issues
Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in an MSP or consulting environment
- Strong experience supporting:
- Windows desktop and server environments
- Microsoft 365 / Azure / Google Workspace environments
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)
- Familiarity with PSA, and ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, etc.)
- Experience with endpoint security, patch management, and backup solutions
- Experience with firewalls, virtualization, and cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work both independently in the field and collaboratively with remote teams
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but not required
- MCSE/MCP Certifications or other certifications a plus

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm. On-call rotation.
Compensation: Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000 (based on experience, technical skills, and certifications)
