Mantis Security is seeking a Lead Platform Integration Engineer to maintain, monitor, and enhance mission system infrastructure supporting critical operational environments. This role is responsible for virtualized infrastructure, software and database sustainment, ETL and Apache NiFi data flows, Grafana health and status dashboards, and architecture improvements that increase system performance, availability, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor mission system infrastructure including virtual machines, software services, databases, and supporting platform components.
- Administer and sustain primarily VMware-hosted environments, with selective use of AWS to improve scalability, resilience, and mission capability.
- Design, customize, and support ETL pipelines and Apache NiFi data flows for data ingestion, transformation, and movement across mission systems.
- Build, maintain, and enhance Grafana health and status dashboards and related operational visibility solutions.
- Support mission-focused web/dashboard capabilities for health, status, and performance reporting.
- Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, software, databases, and data flows to ensure platform stability and mission readiness.
- Perform database tuning as needed, including query optimization, index improvement, and cached-data performance enhancements.
- Capture and maintain network diagrams, system documentation, and technical design artifacts for current-state and future-state environments.
- Draft and design architecture improvements that enhance performance, availability, maintainability, and operational supportability.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership for platform sustainment, modernization, and incident resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- 8 years of experience in platform engineering, systems integration, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure in secure or highly regulated environments.
- Strong experience with VMware virtualization and enterprise server infrastructure.
- Experience with AWS cloud services in hybrid or selective cloud-use environments.
- Experience developing, customizing, or sustaining ETL pipelines and Apache NiFi data flows.
- Experience building or maintaining Grafana dashboards and monitoring solutions.
- Experience with Python for automation, integrations, and lightweight web/dashboard support.
- Experience with database performance tuning, including SQL query and index optimization.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and architecture artifacts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, software, integration, and data layers.
- At least one DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security .
- A relevant platform certification, such as RHCSA or RHCE.
- Experience with RHEL/Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with Bash or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Experience supporting operational dashboard or mission-status web capabilities.
- Experience designing highly available, performance-optimized architectures.
- Familiarity with PKI, STIGs, or other compliance-driven secure environment requirements.
