STEM Specialist (Manti Elementary School)
Manti Elementary is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered STEM Specialist to lead engaging learning experiences in our school's Makerspace. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through hands-on exploration, innovation, problem-solving, coding, robotics, engineering, and emerging technologies.
The STEM Specialist will work with students across multiple grade levels, designing and facilitating meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Essential Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging STEM instruction aligned with district and state standards.

Teach concepts related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, coding, robotics, computer science, and design thinking.

Facilitate hands-on learning experiences in the school's Makerspace.

Encourage creativity, innovation, collaboration, and perseverance through project-based learning.

Maintain Makerspace equipment, tools, robotics kits, and technology resources.

Create a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.

Integrate emerging technologies into instruction when appropriate.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support STEM integration across the curriculum.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Foster problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Maintain inventory of STEM materials and assist with planning for future equipment and supplies.

Participate in professional development related to STEM education and instructional technology.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, STEM-related field, instructional technology, or a related discipline preferred.

Experience teaching or working with children in educational settings.

Knowledge of coding platforms, robotics, engineering design, and Makerspace tools.

Experience with programs such as Sphero, Ozobots, Micro:bit, Code.org, or similar platforms is desirable.

Strong organizational and classroom management skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
