MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer II to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Assist in collecting and organizing information for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports
- Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents
- Translate technical information into clear and concise documentation that is easily understandable by end-users
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all technical documentation produced
- Organize and structure information effectively to facilitate easy navigation and retrieval of documentation
- Review and edit existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and readability
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and make recommendations for process improvements
- BA/BS degree or High School Diploma and 6 years of additional relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelors degree
- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field
- Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Masters Degree or PHD
- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle)
- Must have a current and active Secret clearance
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
