MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in either Las Cruces, New Mexico or Denver, CO. In this role, you will support mission-critical infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Linux environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and optimized while also helping mentor junior administrators and contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives.

- Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Linux environments with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Developing and maintaining infrastructure automation using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar platforms
- Managing physical and virtual server infrastructure across data center environments
- Leading infrastructure projects and initiatives from planning through implementation
- Mentoring junior administrators and providing technical guidance across the team
- Performing hardware installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance within data center facilities
- Implementing security best practices, monitoring system performance, and optimizing system availability
- 8 years of relevant technical experience to include Linux system administration experience with a strong focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and hands-on infrastructure support in enterprise environments
- Proven experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack
- Hands-on experience supporting data center operations including server hardware installation and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior administrators or serving in a senior technical or team leadership capacity
- Strong troubleshooting, system performance tuning, and infrastructure support experience
- Candidates who bring additional DevOps, cloud, or containerization experience will be well positioned to support evolving infrastructure initiatives.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and alerting tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus
- Experience supporting or integrating with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office or data center environment to access equipment, racks, and hardware systems.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering technical updates or briefings. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
