- Install, configure, and maintain VoIP and traditional phone systems, including handsets, headsets, peripherals, user extensions, voicemail, and call routing.
- Perform physical installation and setup of phone hardware, cabling, patch panels, and related telecommunications equipment, including work in network and telecom closets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve phone system hardware, software, and connectivity issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with IT/network teams to integrate phone systems with data networks and support system upgrades.
- Document installations, configurations, and maintenance procedures, and provide user training on phone system features.
- Travel locally between customer buildings and support temporary assignments as required.
- Support coverage as part of a team operating between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The required shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- HS Diploma and 11 years of relevant experience OR Associates degree and 9 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience
- Hands-on experience with phone hardware installation, cabling, patch panels, and working in network/telecom closets and with VOIP/digital phones.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve phone system hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs) and integration between phone systems and data networks.
- Experience supporting Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016 or later, and common business applications.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP networking concepts, and standard IT support tools.
- Related work experience in IT hardware and cabling installation.
- Experience with implementation of Sponsor’s network LAN infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple installation or service tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in technical help desk position and IT hardware/cabling installation.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM, Remedy, Jira Service Management).
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Ability to remain stationary up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to move throughout buildings, access under desks, raised floors, and confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and move IT/AV equipment weighing 50 pounds (team lifts or carts as needed).
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders 10 feet while pulling cables or adjusting equipment.
- Ability to operate computers, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
