MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Naval Logistician to join our team in Chesapeake, VA.
The Naval Logistician will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support operations for small boats under 200 feet, primarily Navy small boats. You will provide parts research, onboard validation, and acquisition services while ensuring all research information is accurately entered into computer-based databases.

You will provide parts research, onboard validation, and acquisition services while ensuring all research information is accurately entered into computer-based databases.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Performing technically accurate parts research using construction drawings, logistics documents, technical manuals, and vendors to provision small boats and miscellaneous equipment.
- Executing parts research and part number cross-referencing across all facets of the federal stock system.
- Managing parts acquisition and interfacing professionally with customer personnel, vendors, and military personnel.
- Collecting, identifying, and annotating research data for entry into specialized databases.
- Recommending and implementing process improvements for logistics and procurement workflows.
- 5 years of Naval Logistics experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of the military, commercial, and recreational marine industry specifically for boats under 200 feet.
- Significant experience using the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS).
- Proven ability to work across large teams to drive a logistics agenda and manage complex data flows.
- Experience performing equipment validations on boats either on trailers or in the water.
- Self-starter with excellent people skills and the ability to organize meetings and drive organizational change.
- Advanced experience with network documentation, security compliance, and configuration management.
- Must have a current and active Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office and maneuver in confined spaces or bilge areas.
- Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs and climb up to four flights of stairs.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers to exchange accurate information.
