Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software web applications that support the 5th Space Launch Squadron.
- Work alongside senior engineers to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for new and existing applications.
- Participate in software requirement reviews, design sessions, and agile development ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
- Assist in testing and debugging applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Help create user documentation and provide support to end-users.
- Embrace collaborative work, including pair programming, to solve complex problems and learn best practices.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java).
- Familiarity with web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security certification within 6 months of hire (company sponsored).
- Academic or internship experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., VueJS, Angular).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of database concepts (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with C#, the .NET framework, and Visual Studio.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, and cloud-hosted applications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A clearance is not required to start.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
