MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Structures Project Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
The Structures Project Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) executing the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program, ensuring Falcon launch vehicles meet requirements for NSS satellite mission launch services.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Providing technical project engineering support to the USSF for Recurring and Non-Recurring Design Validation of Falcon family launch vehicles.
- Reviewing completed team products for completeness and acceptance while tracking all resulting actions to closure.
- Interfacing with a multi-disciplined team consisting of various Contractors, Vendors, FFRDC, and Space Force team members.
- Executing successfully in a fast-paced environment by collaborating with various team members across all organizational levels.
- Preparing the Customer team for launch operations, rehearsals, and anomaly resolution, including the development of certification material.
- Collaborating with Aerospace Corporation, Launch Service Providers (LSPs), Launch Sites, and factories to ensure mission success.
- Performing occasional CONUS travel as required to support mission-critical program objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Structures, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in a related STEM discipline.
- 7 as a Mechanical, Manufacturing, Structural, or Aerospace Engineer in a relevant field. 5 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
- Background in Aerospace and Launch Vehicles
- Previous experience working at Space Systems Command (SSC), the former SMC, or other United States Government agencies.
- Prior military experience or specialized experience with launch vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using modern collaboration and project management tools, specifically Confluence and Jira.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other equipment.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
