Computer and Information Systems Manager

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Computer and Information Systems Manager to join our team in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area.

In this role you will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities in such fields as network design and implementation, network device troubleshooting, data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. You will oversee all aspects of our organization's information technology systems, ensuring their efficient operation, security, and alignment with business objectives. This role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, data management, and cybersecurity best practices. The manager will guide a team of IT professionals, manage projects, and implement strategic IT initiatives to support growth and innovation. The Computer and Information Systems Manager reports directly to the Senior Computer and Information Systems Manager.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Collaborate with a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and privacy of all data and systems. Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols, disaster recovery plans, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Execute IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
• Implement the provision of technical support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous system availability.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in information technology
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
• Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Demonstrated experience implementing complex IT projects from conception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and tools.
  
  

Clearance Requirements

• Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
