Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our team remotley .

This position will provide technical program management and leadership for our ManTech team who supports Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The leader who accepts this role will oversee the team that is responsible for writing and maintaining security technical information guides (STIG) to the broader DoD, on behalf of DISA. The ideal leader will recognize the importance of a team environment. Most of the products, recommendations, and decisions we provide to the government are generated through group discussion after thoughtful consideration of risks, contingencies, mitigations, costs, and short and long-term impacts. Demand for STIG products and the accompanying automation is high, so the leader of this team must be able to work with team leads of designated work areas to determine level of effort for all new projects or ad-hoc, urgent requirements. This position requires the candidate to lead discussions, present difficult topics to senior leaders, compose executive summaries, and facilitate analysis of zero-day threats. The ideal candidate will continue to provide outstanding service to our customer, and be responsive to both the assigned ManTech Program Manager (PM) and the assigned government Contract Officer Representative (COR).

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of demonstrable, hands-on technical experience with a broad set of technologies.

  • At least 3 years of experience supervising or leading teams in technical IT environments.

  • Knowledge of network architectures with the ability to identify both risks and mitigations.

  • A desire to stay abreast of new and emerging technologies, and an ability to learn quickly.

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus-forward.

  • Ability to manage workloads for different projects and deliver on a set schedule.

  • Ability to cope with changes to competing priorities, escalating issues to ManTech or DISA leadership as needed.

  • Sound interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills.

  • Comfortable communicating with our customers' customers through email and phone.

  • Knowledge and/or experience navigating the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including some awareness of what it takes to sustain an Assessment and Authorization (A&A) package and the role STIGs play in that process.

  • The ability to not only accept challenging new work from our DISA customer but to identify actionable milestones and timelines that will help our teams meet desired objectives.

  • Ability to communicate and translate security requirements into technical configurations.

Education

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Required Certifications

  • DoD 8570.01-M, IAT II certification or greater

  • CompTIA Security or (ISC)2 CISSP preferred

Security Clearance Requirements:

Department of Defense Secret Clearance
