Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced sous chef to join our team. As a sous chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring efficient and high-quality service. You will work closely with the management team to maintain inventory control, manage banquet and restaurant operations, and provide exceptional leadership to our team. You MUST have restaurant management experience to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of food service operations, including inventory control, menu planning, and staff scheduling
- Oversee banquet and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth execution of events and exceptional customer service
- Train and develop staff members in proper food handling, safety procedures, and customer service
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for food preparation and presentation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes
- Implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and dining areas
Requirements:
- Previous experience in fine dining restaurant management is required.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures
- Proficient in banquet operations and bartending techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Knowledge of dietary department regulations and guidelines is preferred
- Proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
