Position Summary:
Manson Northwest Webster is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Careers Teacher to join our Junior High / High School team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction in career education, supporting students in exploring career pathways, developing employability skills, and preparing for post-secondary transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Careers curriculum to students in grades 8-12.
- Design and implement lessons that promote self-awareness, goal setting, job readiness, and career exploration
- Provide individualized support and guidance for students' career planning and post-secondary preparation
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and community organizations to enhance career learning opportunities (e.g., job shadows, guest speakers)
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and complete required reporting
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa teaching license.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
