Infection Preventionist
We are a 62 bed skilled nursing facility, family-owned, located within 10 minutes of downtown Providence and within 20 minutes of nearby Massachusetts due to our very close proximity to Route 95.
Infection Preventionist Duties:
- Oversee the facility Infection Prevention & Control program (IPCP)
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing and the Administrator
- Maintain policies and procedures that meet RIDOH requirements & CDC guidelines
- Complete general infection control rounds and follow-up on issues identified
- Orient staff on infection prevention policies as needed
- Monitor and review COVID testing and vaccination status of residents and staff
- Complete weekly reporting to RIDOH and CDC
- Be a member of the QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) team and attend quarterly meetings
- Part Time position: 16-24 hours/week

- Negotiable wage commensurate with experience
Flexible schedule, Part-Time position with opportunity for Full-Time. 16-24hrs per week as the IP, with potential for increasing hours as a charge nurse. Schedule is flexible.

Infection Preventionist Requirements:
- CDC Infection Preventionist Certification (experience preferred)
- A Rhode Island RN License
- Experience with electronic medical records
