What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Associate position at Mansion House Inn & Health Club?
We are a family-owned and operated 48-room Inn located on the Island of Martha's Vineyard. On Main Street in Vineyard Haven, Mansion House Inn offers visitors to the Island the perfect base to explore the Island. Our Health Club offers a variety of membership options to Island residents and guests, with group fitness classes, cardio and weight equipment, pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome Inn guests & Health Club Members in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist guests with special requests or needs during their stay
- Resolve guest complaints or issues with a positive attitude
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or front desk role required
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic office equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service and guest relations skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact
- Work well with a team
