CDL Special Education School Bus Driver

CDL Special Education School Bus Driver (Calendar Year) Start Date: January 20, 2025 Responsibilities include: •Transport district special education students (and adult chaperones as needed) between home and school following an assigned bus route, as well as for school activities •Assist students on and off the bus according to their individual needs, including emergency exit •Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe environment •Operate wheelchair lift, harness, and other special equipment safely •Communicate with teachers, parents, transportation manager, and the Special Education Director as needed •Perform daily safety inspection of vehicle(s) including fuel check, check fluid levels and report repair needs and complete incident reports as required •Occasionally perform work beyond the standard 40-hour work week •Maintain all licensing and certificates and submit to random drug and alcohol screenings •Other job-related duties as assigned
