As a Dietary Cook, you'll play a vital role in our residents' well-being by preparing meals that meet various dietary needs and preferences, ensuring safety, quality, and taste are always a priority.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks for residents according to daily menus, therapeutic diet orders, and recipes.
- Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
- Monitor food temperatures and storage to ensure compliance.
- Assist with setting up dining areas and serving trays, potentially delivering meals to rooms.
- Help with cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and dining areas.
- Stock and organize food and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and nursing staff.
- Show patience and empathy when interacting with residents and families.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets (e.g., diabetic, pureed, low sodium) is a plus.
- Valid Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe certification required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a cheerful disposition.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
