Key Responsibilities
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and routine kitchen tasks.
- Wash, peel, cut, and organize ingredients as directed.
- Prepare ingredients and supplies for daily service.
- Help assemble food orders and maintain order accuracy.
- Follow recipe instructions and food-preparation procedures.
- Keep kitchen workstations, counters, and preparation areas clean and organized.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Restock ingredients, food containers, and kitchen supplies.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food deliveries.
- Remove trash and maintain proper cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Communicate supply needs and kitchen concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and routine kitchen cleaning duties.
- Work cooperatively with cooks, dishwashers, and other restaurant team members.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, café, or food-service experience is helpful but not required.
