Job Summary
The PBIS Coordinator is responsible for leading, supporting, and monitoring the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in a school or across multiple schools within a district. This role includes coaching staff, collecting and analyzing data, facilitating team meetings, and ensuring that PBIS strategies are aligned with school improvement goals and support a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
Reports to: Building Principal and District PBIS Coordinator or his/her designee

Conduct: Each staff member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

As part of this supplemental within the Mansfield City School District, you will be expected to assist with the building implementation of the PBIS framework in your job role. Specific details of implementation will come from your building's PBIS team.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of PBIS at Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 levels.
- Facilitate regular PBIS team meetings to review data, plan interventions, and monitor fidelity.
- Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to teachers, support staff, and administrators.
- Analyze behavioral data to identify trends, set goals, and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with building staff, committees, and State support teams to align and implement services.
- Develop and disseminate materials, tools, and resources to support PBIS practices.
- Ensure PBIS practices are culturally responsive and inclusive.
- Monitor fidelity of implementation using tools such as TFI (Tiered Fidelity Inventory).
- Coordinate communication and family/community involvement in PBIS initiatives.
- Assist in developing school-wide behavior expectations, acknowledgments, and discipline protocols.
- Prepare reports and present PBIS outcomes to stakeholders, including leadership and school boards.
- Collaborate with other Building Coordinators on District Implementation of PBIS
- Collaborate and assist with the completion and submission of the Building and District Recognition Application
- Additional responsibilities as needed to meet student needs / PBIS goals.
- Fulfill the Coordinator roles and responsibilities of the assignment monthly as outlined in the PBIS handbooks.
- Current school staff member (teacher, counselor, administrator, paraprofessional, or support staff).
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a positive school climate and student success.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Experience with PBIS implementation within the school-wide expectations of basic behavioral support strategies.
- Prior experience on PBIS Committee
- Strong interpersonal and communication and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of the PBIS framework and goals.
- Experience with behavior data or progress monitoring systems (e.g., SWIS, referral data).
- Culturally responsive and trauma-informed mindset.
- Demonstrated success in coaching or professional development delivery.
- Attend team meetings (minimally, twice monthly).
- Attend District coordinators meeting (quarterly)
- Organize and participate in PBIS-related events, training, and implementation activities as scheduled.
- Contribute to data reviews and planning monthly.
- School or office environment.
- Must be assigned and working in the building of team.
- May require travel between school sites
- Meetings or training sessions may be outside of the working day or included in summer planning.
