What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Teacher position at Mansfield Academy of Dance?
We are looking for a positive, dependable, and qualified dance instructor to join our team at our Willimantic, CT location.
We are currently seeking an instructor with strong tap dance experience and the ability to teach and adapt to dancers of all ages and levels. Our programs serve students from preschool through teens and adults, so flexibility, patience, and the ability to connect with different age groups are especially important.

The ideal candidate is:
- Confident and experienced teaching tap dance
- Comfortable working with preschoolers, children, teens, and/or adults
- Able to adapt instruction to different ages, abilities, learning styles, and energy levels
- Positive, encouraging, and engaging in the classroom
- Reliable, dependable, and professional
- Committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where students can build confidence and develop their skills
Availability on weekday afternoons/evenings after 4:00 PM and Saturday mornings is especially helpful though we are most urgently looking for someone available after 4:30pm on Tuesdays.
