HSE Engineer | Palmetto, FL

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology organization, is seeking a HSE Engineer to join their team. As an HSE Engineer II, you will be part of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Department, supporting Production, Warehouse, and Plant Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to build collaborative relationships that will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Palmetto, FL

Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 /hr

What’s the Job?

• Provide HSE field support to production and warehouse operations through shop floor inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and support the implementation of Safe Work Procedures.
• Deliver HSE training, coaching, and safety awareness programs for employees at all levels.
• Investigate incidents, track corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement in safety performance.
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, with a strong focus on industrial or manufacturing safety.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, reporting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with production teams and foster a positive safety culture.
