What’s the Job? – Responsibilities Only
- Oversee construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality
- Partner with safety and quality teams to resolve concerns and drive incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
- Coordinate daily construction activities and ensure contractor efficiency
- Ensure all work aligns with project specifications, procedures, and approved plans; address deviations promptly
- Manage change control processes, including reviewing contractor proposals and supporting negotiations
- Track and review contractor schedules and progress alongside project management
- Prepare and review weekly/monthly construction progress and cost reports
- Lead and participate in project updates, including safety and quality meetings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Support contractor permitting efforts and coordinate inspections with authorities and engineers
- Conduct quality assurance inspections throughout and after project completion
- Support onboarding of contractors, crews, and project personnel
- Drive safety programs, including root-cause analysis, incident tracking, and closure verification
- Provide KPI reporting (construction hours, safety metrics, progress updates) to stakeholders
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- 8–10 years of experience in construction management, including commercial and cleanroom environments
- Strong knowledge of construction technology, safety standards, and quality principles
- Experience with cleanroom construction and chemical production process installations
- OSHA 30 certification (minimum requirement)
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Experience interpreting ASME, ACI, and building construction standards
- Proven experience with accident investigations and reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict management, and multitasking abilities
- Must have California project experience and be local to the San Jose area
