Senior Water Resources Engineer

Our client, a leading firm in the Water Resources industry, is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will be part of the Water Resources Department supporting multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Senior Water Resources Engineer

Location: Denver, CO

Pay Range:$80,000 - $110,000

What's the Job?

• Apply and present a demonstrated knowledge of the mining, hydropower, and dams industries.
• Develop safe, economical, and innovative solutions to water management issues using water resources and civil engineering expertise.
• Participate as a productive and valued member of larger teams, including internal Water Resources and Environmental Groups, project-specific, and external client teams.
• Complete surface water related technical analyses and modeling, including climatic, hydrologic, hydraulic, sediment yield and transport, water balance, and dam breach evaluations.
• Oversee and review technical analyses, calculations, and modeling performed by less experienced staff, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  
  

What's Needed?

• 10 years of relevant engineering experience in water resources, especially surface water, mine water balance, and dam breach studies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration or eligibility for registration.
• Proficiency with software packages such as FLO-2D, HEC-RAS (2D), FLOW-3D, GoldSim, and HEC-HMS.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with the ability to document and present complex information clearly.
