We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Controls Engineer to support integration projects in a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on controls professional with strong PLC and HMI programming experience who is comfortable owning project responsibilities while traveling to support onsite installations, start-ups, and commissioning activities.
The primary purpose of this role is to drive the business forward by executing projects on time, on budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction. The Project Manager works directly with customers to ensure scope is delivered successfully and that all PLC and HMI systems are fully functional and optimized. This individual will also manage onsite installations and oversee subcontractors dedicated to each project.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Controls Engineer to support integration projects in a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial environment. This individual will also manage onsite installations and oversee subcontractors dedicated to each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying scale and complexity
- Oversee project budgets, costs, margins, schedules, scope, quality, and customer expectations
- Develop and prepare project estimates
- Lead development, programming, and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI code across multiple customer platforms
- Collaborate with Sales to maintain and strengthen customer relationships, present project data, scope of work, and system designs
- Attend job walks, start-ups, commissioning activities, and project closeout meetings
- Step in as a Controls Engineer when needed, supporting PLC/HMI programming, hardware design, and system troubleshooting
- Manage onsite installations and oversee subcontractors (electrical, controls, mechanical, etc.)
- Ensure all deliverables meet performance, safety, and quality standards
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR 7 years of experience in control systems/system integration project management
- Proven experience leading controls and integration resources
- Strong background in job cost analysis, budget management, scheduling, resource planning, and scope management
- Advanced experience with PLC and HMI programming and design
- Experience supporting system integration in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Robotics experience (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.) is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Willingness to travel as required (up to 50%)
