Instructional Designer

Our client, a global automotive manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Training Author / Instructional Designer to join their team. As a Technical Training Author / Instructional Designer, you will be part of the Technical Training / Learning & Development organization supporting Automotive Technician Training Programs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, instructional creativity, and technical aptitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range: 53.79 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Develop end-to-end automotive technical training in multiple formats including ILT, eLearning (Articulate Storyline & Rise 360), microlearning, job aids, and digital courses
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather technical content and translate it into effective learning solutions
• Create storyboards, scripts, and highly interactive learning experiences (simulations, drag-and-drops, layered graphics)
• Capture photos and reference images onsite in the vehicle garage as needed
• Incorporate feedback, revise content iteratively, and continuously improve training effectiveness
  
  

What’s Needed?

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in instructional design or technical training

• Master-level proficiency in Articulate Storyline with a portfolio demonstrating interactive work
• Ability to conduct SME interviews and document technical content accurately
• Technical aptitude (automotive, mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing background preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset
