Electrical Test & Validation Engineer

Our client, Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology, is seeking a Electrical Test & Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Electrical Test & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting Next Generation Reactor Systems and Test Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem‑solving skills, a proactive ownership mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Test & Validation Engineer

Location: Wilmington, NC

Pay Range: $74 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Create, schedule, and execute engineered tests to validate complex electrical and electro‑mechanical systems for next‑generation nuclear reactor technology
• Develop and implement confirmation and validation testing strategies to meet customer, design, and regulatory requirements
• Identify, document, and lead resolution of technical risks across testing programs
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross‑functional teams to assemble test fixtures, prepare test facilities, and conduct unique testing
• Prepare and present technical data, reports, and documentation to internal teams and customers
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of testing experience with complex electrical or electro‑mechanical systems
• Strong experience with testing methodologies for new design development
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting analog and digital electronics using test instrumentation
• Programming experience in C, Python, LabVIEW, or LabWindows and familiarity with automated test systems
