Job Title: Electrical Engineer III

What's the Job?
- Design and develop primary outdoor physical substations for electric utilities, including power single line diagrams, substation plans, and elevation drawings.
- Perform detailed studies and analyses to ensure compliance with industry standards and local grid codes.
- Produce comprehensive construction details, layouts for high voltage bus, cable, equipment, and control building layouts.
- Apply North American standards & guidelines (IEEE & ANSI), NEC, NESC, and local grid codes to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support renewable energy projects and utility infrastructure upgrades.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities, specifically PG&E and renewable energy projects.
- Hands-on experience in producing power single line drawings, substation layouts, and erection drawings.
- Deep understanding of high voltage substation standards, safety protocols, and equipment specifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (BSEE preferred).
- Professional Engineering license in the United States or a demonstrated plan to obtain it within a specified timeframe, with the ability to review and seal work under supervision.
