Electrical Designer

Our client, a leading organization in the industrial and engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated Electrical Designer to join their dynamic team. As an Electrical Designer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD software for various projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Drafting Designers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct field investigations and produce detailed reports with sketches to support project needs.
• Stay current with industry standards, modeling, drafting techniques, and design processes to ensure best practices.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and packages to maintain quality standards.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 10 years of electrical design experience in refinery, plant, tank terminals, and inbound/outbound rail, barge, and truck facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Windows operating systems.
• Strong understanding of material nomenclature, specifications, symbology, and P&IDs.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience in electrical design or related field.
