Job Title: Electrical Controls Designer
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite)
Pay Range: $46.83/hour
What's the Job?
- Design protection and control systems for power transmission and utility-related projects.
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, grounding layouts, and cable schedules using AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and ensure accuracy and consistency of design documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and design teams to meet project schedules, technical requirements, and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to controls design, documentation processes, and cost optimization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 2 years of experience, or Associate's Degree with 5 years of controls design experience.
- Experience creating electrical and controls drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and design documentation.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and codes such as IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, CSA, or NESC.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
