Data Center Utilities Project Manager (Energy & Sustainability)

Our client, a global technology and data center solutions organization, is seeking a Utility Project Manager (Energy & Sustainability) to join their team. As a Utility Project Manager, you will be part of the Data Center Energy & Sustainability Department, supporting Energy, DCE, DCD and cross‑functional utility teams. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder communication skills, solid organizational capabilities, and a proactive problem‑solving mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Boydton, VA (Hybrid)

Pay Range:

$70.43 – $75.87 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Serve as the single point of contact for all utility scope, including transmission, distribution, and substations.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety for utility projects supporting data center operations.
• Publish, maintain, and report detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, identifying critical path activities.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders, utilities, AHJs, and internal Energy teams through regular progress meetings.
• Track budgets, change orders, documentation, and deliver weekly progress reports with site updates and photos.
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Prior program or project management experience supporting utility or energy‑related projects.
• Mandatory utility experience (transmission, distribution, or substation projects).
• Ability to support Eastern Time (ET) or Central Time (CT) core working hours.
• Experience coordinating with construction or infrastructure teams (no onsite construction required).
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional, partially remote environments.
