General Position SummaryThe HR Generalist serves as a trusted partner to leaders and employees across multiple sites and remote teams. This role provides comprehensive HR support in employee relations, engagement, compliance, performance development, and policy administration. The ideal candidate is an experienced, proactive HR professional who combines strategic insight with hands-on execution. They will play a key role in fostering a positive, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture while ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements.Primary Responsibilities:Employee Relations & EngagementServe as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance, and workplace matters.Lead employee engagement initiatives to promote connection, morale, and recognition across teams and locations.Partner with HR leaders to assess and enhance organizational culture and employee experience.Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate, consistent actions aligned with company policy and compliance standards.Coach managers on effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution strategies.Performance & DevelopmentSupport the performance management cycle, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.Partner with leaders to identify skill gaps and support targeted learning and development efforts.Promote continuous learning and career growth through coaching, tools, and training opportunities.Compliance & Policy AdministrationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Maintain and communicate company policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.Partner with HR leadership on audits, reports, and documentation to maintain compliance and consistency.HR Operations & ReportingMaintain accurate and confidential employee data within the HRIS and personnel files.Generate reports and metrics to track trends and support data-driven decisions.Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and programs.Cross-Site Support & CollaborationAct as a key HR contact for multiple sites and remote employees, ensuring consistency in HR practices and communication.Partner with HR leadership and business managers to align on priorities and drive employee engagement strategies across the organization.Participate in HR projects and initiatives that enhance culture, communication, and organizational effectiveness.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.3-5 years of progressive HR generalist experience.Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws and compliance practices.Skills & AttributesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.Proven success designing or supporting engagement and culture-building initiatives.Sound judgment and problem-solving ability with a balanced, objective approach.Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.Collaborative, adaptable, and resourceful, with a focus on delivering results and improving the employee experience.
