Customer Service Representative
Pay: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Location: San Diego, 92121
Duration: Approximately 3 months
We are seeking a detail oriented and customer focused Customer Service Representative to support order management, customer inquiries, and cross functional communication in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service experience, ERP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Resolve product or service issues by identifying the cause, determining solutions, and following through to ensure resolution
• Enter customer orders and quotes into the ERP system accurately
• Review and reconcile electronic orders
• Manage customer backorders and lead time inquiries by collaborating with Planning and Manufacturing teams to provide accurate shipping dates
• Resolve pricing discrepancies identified at the time of order entry
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
• Partner cross functionally with departments including Transportation & Distribution, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, Planning, Finance, and Shipping & Receiving to resolve customer concerns and provide exceptional service
Qualifications
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ERP and order management systems
• Knowledge of electronic ordering systems, including web and EDI platforms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable communicating with a variety of internal and external customers
• Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver excellent customer service
